Oculus Go released
Facebook's first standalone VR headset, the Oculus Go, hit the market to critical acclaim.
What happens when you blend immersive experiences and lucid dreaming? You get SOMNAI, which takes participants on an eclectic and soothing journey through the fabric of their dreams. Conveying nebulous concepts only knowable via dream-states, SOMNAI used immersive technologies to provide a unique physical story.
SOMNAI featured VR headsets with mobile processing back-packs, as well as designed rooms that people walked between for each chapter of the tale. The use of space helped to contextualise and situate the experiences people feel.
